Our large block is very useful to replace the classic blankets in many asanas (postures).
For the candle posture 4 blocks are needed to have a large support surface for the shoulders and arms. The head stays outside the blocks - this relieves pressure on the throat and allows you to hold the posture longer.
The typical block set often used in yoga iyengar consists of 2 small bricks plus 4 large blocks. This set of blocks allows you to better perform many postures.
The blocks are also suitable for sitting postures (see photo).
